Recaro's new Infant Carrier...

Recaro has been talking about bringing an infant seat to the US for years. I had hoped that my six year old would have one, but hey, maybe they'll make one in case I ever have another kid!

I highly doubt it. They've been saying they're going to release an infant seat in the states for some time (2+ years), but we've yet to see it. The Nuna Pipa and Cybex Aton 2 and Aton Q are quite similar to the Recaro seat, and are legal for use in the states.

I saw this on Recaro's Facebook page also. They weren't very specific on a date; just said sometime this summer and details will be posted in the next few weeks. Looks awesome! I'm really excited to see it; wonder how it compares to the britax chaperone.

Recaro announced on their FB it is coming to the US market this summer. Granted, we've been waiting on an infant seat from them since around 2008 IIRC.

Looks like they took the best of the best from everyone....

Seat design/canopy -- cybex aton q
Base with no lip -- uppababy mesa
Load leg and base -- nuna pipa

I like it. I would buy it today of it existed. Baby is due in 8 weeks. I don't think it will be here by then. :(

Yes it was released today. Now I'm trying to decide if I want to go with the Aton as planned or get the Recaro and have matchy seats.

Kind of can't believe they finally did it lol.

The Aton tech discount is so great I doubt I'd go for it.

I'm expired, and even if I were current, the shipping to AK would be so expensive it would pretty much negate the discount :/ the Recaro at least would ship for free since it's on Amazon.
