Recaro Performance Booster vs. Britax Parkway

I've narrowed DD's new booster down to 2 seats (I think lol): The Recaro Performance booster and the Britax Parkway.

DD is petite (7 yo, 48", 44 lbs). The seat will be going in the center of a Malibu (no headrest), no other seats in the car.

What would be a reason to get one over the other? The only thing I've got so far is price. I can get the Parkway for $110 vs. the Performance booster for $111 with a $40 Target gift card so essentially, $70.

I had wanted a performance booster for my third son and was disappointed to see the fit was awful on his smallish body. The seat depth was wonderful for his long legs but the width of the back portion was too much. We went with a parkway simply because it was a better fit for his small frame. The seat isn't as deep, but I typically switch to backless around 8-9 since I usually have a younger child who needs the hbb and a backless amp is our go-to for that since it's so deep. He's 8 now and mostly uses it for longer trips when he wants to be able to lean and rest, with no complaints of leg discomfort.

I would get the Parkway. My daughter is close to your DD's stats and her Parkway fits her great.

I would let her choose. My ds is a similar size and fits great in the Recaro.

My dd is 5, weighs 46 lbs, and is 44 in. She fits wonderfully in our performance booster.

I really like it but it is wide, limiting where we can put it in our van and have her easily buckle. The parkway may be more versatile, as it's narrower.

Thank you all for the input. I hadn't realized that Perf. Booster was so wide! It's going in the center seat, which is already kind of narrow, and I want to make sure buckling isn't too difficult. So I think I'm leaning Parkway now

Our Performance booster is super wide and fits our 5-9 YO's fine. But it's so wide, yep.

Ours doesn't fit in the center of our 2008 sienna middle row next to another seat. The performance booster really is a wide seat. I kinda wish I had gotten the PW.
