Rear Anchor 2003 Honda Odyssey

I have a 2003 Honda Odyssey. The back only has one carseat anchor (in the center). But the manual says one can be installed on a side seat. Do I relocate the existing anchor or need to purchase another one?

If I need to relocate it, how do I do that?

If I need to purchase a new one, where do I find it?

You could call your local dealership, as they are likely who will need to install it. Hopefully someone with a LATCH manual can give you more detailed information!

Definitely contact your dealer for information. I believe the part number is 82410-SE3-C01 . These may be difficult to find new. If your dealer does not have one, you can try to find one at Honda parts dealers online. Then your dealer can install it or you may be able to install it with the appropriate torque wrench.

I no longer maintain this page, but it is archived as it has some useful information. It has not been updated and may have incorrect information, so please consider the information to be out-of-date. http://www.car-safety.org/odyssey.html

The Honda part number is the same for all vehicles and easy and inexpensive to obtain through the dealership. They are still readily available. The part number above is what to ask for. It must be installed with a torque wrench (you can get one for about $10-15 online or at Harbor Freight) and tightened to a torque of 16 lb-ft (22 Nm.) It's really simple, I did it myself in that vehicle and I had never used a torque wrench before :)

You also have tether anchors in the second row, though they can be a little hard to locate all the way under the seats.
