Radian XTSL: parents with older kids, how is the comfort?

So I'm debating between the XTSL and the Frontier85. The Frontier is WIDE. DW sat in it and she pretty much fit. No worries there.

However, the seat is huge. I gotta take my truck down to BRUS to see if it'll fit, but if it does, I'll prolly get the Frontier for the truck.

I have to get the Radian for the other car tho. I need it narrow, but b/c it's a narrow seat, I worry that when my kid gets bigger, he's gonna be cramped in it. How are your bigger kids in it? Pics? Thx.

My DS1 is almost 6yrs and 52lbs. He says it is his favorite seat. He has no issues with it being narrow.

(I don't have a pic of him in the XT right now)

All my kids love the Radian. I harnessed dd1 a few weeks ago in the XT just out of curiosity and she said it was very comfortable.
Here she is in it last summer:

Benjamin was in the radian until a few months ago and still used it sometimes in dh's car.

He never complained about it at all.

This is him last fall. He would have been around 6 1/4 years old, 48 inches tall, and 48 lbs.

My DS will be 9 next week and rides in a Radian so we can get 3-across in our Focus. He has never complained and when I ask him about it, he says he's quite comfortable.

I'll try to post a pic later. I took some last week since we're going to move him to a booster in that car soon (he rides in a booster full-time in DH's car) and also because he's just about maxed it out in all ways - he's 64.4 lbs. and his shoulders are just a smidge above the top slots. I just haven't edited the pics yet.

ETA: Added pic. Also, FYI, he looks a little squished in this pic but he's really just sitting oddly for the pic. As I said, he's never complained about the seat and says it's comfortable.

Wow, so no complaints about the shoulder areas or the thighs? Just eyeballing it, that'd be my main concern. Thanks for all the pics and weight descriptions. For one car, this may be my only option to get them to booster age.

Megan doesn't complain about riding in the XTSL, except on long trips. Her legs dangle and it hurts her back. The solution is to sit with her legs crossed, or supply a lightweight footstool. She is 4.5 yrs, 43ish lbs and over the top slot of the Marathon (don't know her actual height).
