PLEASE help me decide

Ok, so I have been through more strollers than someone with 10 kids...I'm almost sure of it

I get bored with them and sell them to try a new one quite often. I am into strollers as anyone here is into car seats...

Right now I'm using a Pliko Lite which I do like but it of course has to go in the front seat as it will not go in my itty bitty pathetic trunk- at all, not a chance.

In fact- (and I am pretty much 100% certain) the ONLY one that will fit in the trunk (handle bar first and upside down) is the Peg Perego Aria. I had a 2007 model in "Mint" and I hated it. I sold it after a few months because it just handled terribly...had to back it up 2 ft and ram it quite often as the wheels locked up- a common issue and I have used several...they all were as bad. The Combi's do not fit in my trunk at all and I hate them anyways before someone suggests them- not comfortable for the child either- at least not for the 3yo I take to Disney weekly. I have faith (at least a fair amount) in the redesigned Aria and for around $100 (half MSRP) I am willing to try it...I can always sell it for the same amount like I did my last one if it's that bad:rolleyes:

Well I was in BRU and saw the newer model- it is MUCH better... I'm willing to take another shot as I wish to God I could leave a stroller in the trunk and quit bringing it in and out of the house as I obviously don't keep in in the passenger seat full time.

My question is- has ANYONE got an IRL picture of the "Titanio" fabric? there is not one image anywhere online! I currently have the "Moka" in my cart at diapers.com with my Radian and the grand total is $308 for the car seat, stroller and a pack of diapers  not too bad!

I don't really want the Moka at all though because it was a BRU color and they are EVERYWHERE at Disney... I am thinking of spending a few more bucks (not much, like $10) and getting the "Titanio" one fom Albee ($119) as no one has it and it's a 2009 vs. a 2008...

This thread may seem a joke but please- I ask two things... a picture or description of th "Titanio" fabric and also- are there ANY differences between the 2008 and the 2009 Aria models?

Thank you to anyone who responds- it is driving me nuts.

ANY IRL pics of either fabric are sooooo much appreciated! I want to order already but HATE not being sure about my choice! If this stroller has been redesigned well enough that it actually steers and the wheels actually turn I will keep it for a long time so I want to be happy with the color too! I know I like the features of this stroller- just need it to work

By the way- I know there are other colors for better prices but those chocolate Mickey ice creams DESTROY pastels! have a lime green Pliko Lite that needs washing after every use between muddy shoes and food/drink... I want black/brown/grey so it looks better even with a little toddler love...

I'm not sure if there's any differences, but I have one that was purchased in march of '09. I do sometimes have the stuck wheel thing like you mention, but not enough to drive me crazy. For the most part I love this stroller. I do tend to run it off the sidewalk into the grass rather easily. And it is a pain sometimes to "park" where we keep it because if it's too close to it when I start pushing the wheels spin around and I have to back it up a couple of feet then push it in. Okay, so the more I think about it, the more I think the wheels might still be a problem. But it's honestly never made me annoyed with it, it's not that bad or constant. It's our only stroller, so maybe I've just always accepted this as normal. Am I missing out on something here?

Whole point is that is does not fit in my trunk otherwise I'd consider one...well I alrady have- it simply doesn't go in at all. I loved the Aria's canopy, child tray etc. i just handled badly- they claim to have fixed this issue with a new design and I have to say that the floor model was much nicer than the 07 I had... It MUST go in the trunk so this i my only option- I was stuck carrying my sister the other night along with my purse, her diaper bag and an iced coffee- because there was no room for an umbrella stroller and nothing that fit in the trunk. It's decided I'll have to give this one another try, I'm just trying to find the best fabric option.

For some reason anyone who hasn't owned or seen a Beetle seems to not believe this but I promise- NOTHING goes in the trunk.. :( I had the hardtop bug and the Metrolite *just* fit but now with the convertible- the Aria is my only choice so I am looking forward to having one that fits again. The opening to the trunk is a half moon shape and because of the mechanics of the top- there's even less room... a stroller is something I use 4-5 times a week and I'm just tried of it being jammed in the front seat.

Do you know what pattern you have? did you get it on sale? if you bought it at the beginning of 09 it is possible you have the same model that I had problems with- I bought it mid 08 from Albeebaby.com and mine was an 07 on sale for $117 as opposed to the 08 models that were $219... I didn't know there was a difference because they *looked* the same- there is a HUGE difference between the 07 and 08 onwards... I'm just trying to figure out if the 09 was improved once again as it looks slightly different plus I want to see the fabric IRL to see the texture and if anyone on here knows how it holds up/cleans up....they all seem to differ, some are mesh, some are cotton, some are metallic and some last better...

Pattern is Corallo and the DOM is 10/31/2008, it was just over $200 IIRC (my parents bought it for us). I don't know if the fabric is the same material for the one you want, but ours has held up well. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Oh that is helpful to know that you have a newer model- that's an 08 or 09 and that you've noticed the wheel issue :(

If you say it's not that bad then I guess it's been improved because it used to be so bad that you just wanted to abandon the stroller and carry the kid half the time  It's one of thse things that even though I hated it- the convenience of it fitting in my trunk, having a good canopy, reclining, having a decent basket and a tray almost outweigh the wheel issue now that i've got one that barely reclines, has no trays and crappy canopy (which is a huge problem with this sun)... I know it is better as I've seen it but it stinks that they didn't fully resolve the problem :(

Well I think I'm going to order the Titanio one from Albee because it's an 09 and it's cheap... not so many people have that color-I've never seen it at the parks but I see 400 Moka ones every time I'm at Disney which is an issue when you have to park them outsiderides and a) hope someone doesn't take yours by accident and b) hpe you can identify yours

I just really wish there was a real life picture of this one somewhere! I found a million Moka ones but no Titanio...oh well, I'm sure it will be fine

It's definitely not as bad as you describe. I've never felt remotely close to abandoning it or trying to sell it to fund a different one. Most of the time out walking it is just fine. The running into the side could be just as much user error as the wheel's giving a slip  Though on some instances I'm almost positive it IS the wheels giving a sudden flip to the side that throws it off. But not a constant thing. And if you're walking through disney, rather than on a sidewalk side by side with someone, a little tweak to the side probably won't matter as much.

Thanks and yes, I have used it...a family I was full time with bought a black one it is the only other one that will fit (I forgot) but it does not recline, Riley- the 2 yr old I used it with tipped it over several times...(the 3 wheel version) I had a lot of trouble folding it and the canopy doesn't do much... for my needs it just leaves so much to be desired- a basket, cupholders and a child tray are very useful to me. The Zapp is probably one of the top 3 most common strollers seen at the parks too... theres one everywhere you turn because they are extremely popular in England too.

I do like the Aria other than the wheel issue it had... I just really hope it's tolerable or at least better- if it's better can live with it because it has all the things I need.

What about the Duggars? Don't they have 20 kids now?

Wait...actually maybe not because they recycle everything!

My cousin had a beetle and she fit a graco stroller in it. I wouldn't suggest a graco because I hate them. What about a maclaren that folds hamburger?

Baby Jogger City Micro - decent recline and canopy, available child tray, awesome fold just add a sunshine kids buggy buddy and you are set.

I took ours to Disney back in February and it was perfect for my 2 year old - I even found the canopy to be good as well - plus you can't beat the fold on the BJ strollers.

There are still some Mutsy Spider's to be had out there. Coolest damned fold EVER!

I will look into this one in a minute- we have a Mutsy for my sister and it's a nightmare but that's the big huge thing- not the spider... nice but a monster to try and take anywhere and we had frame/wheel issues after it got sand in the wheels and they didn't turn at all!

My old hardtop 06 Beetle *just* fit a Graco Metrolite and I liked that stroller- sure it's not the best but never had a single problem and served it's purpose well! I had a nicer one though with he rubber wheels- not plastic so it was smooth  not a chance in h**l of it fitting in the convertible trunk- it's half the size!

Amazon.com: Peg Perego 2009 Aria OH Stroller: Baby

I would never get an aria. Worst stroller peg makes in my opinion.

What about a si, instead?
http://www.albeebaby.com/peg-perego-2009-si-stroller-in-titanio-stripes.html

Doesn't fit at all- not even close, sure it would fit in the front seat but I already have a Pliko lite:eek: nothing with an umbrella fold fits at all- too long, by over a foot...even those $10-$20 umbrella strollers don't go in, it's a joke! technicall if you measure the trunk it "fits" but the opening to the trunk is tiiiinnnyyy so you can't actually get anything in there!

I agree- nice stroller... too wide, doesn't fit. 10 million of them at the parks especially since that rental company rents out a tonnnnn of then, I think 1 in 5 strollers at a park is a BJCM now!

thanks everyone, I'll take a look at the spider I guess, if not I'm just ordering the Titanio one because at least I can leave it in the car and it's better than it used to be.

haha just googled the Mutsy Spider and found this

It's a regular hardtop Beetle... so it goes in there but the convertible is unlikely... my trunk is sooo much smaller and doesn't open nearly as wide.

Um...THIS is mine... very different! it's actually getting things in there that's the problem and it doesn't go back as far plus it's not as tall because of the convertible top mechanical junk... The Baby Joggers are too wide/square and now maybe you can see how umbrella folds are downright impossible!
