Question Pioneer install-belt is twisty?

I installed a Pioneer today, third row of my Expedition EL. It fits great. The problem is the belt does not lay flat because of the high belt path. Is this a problem? I know I have read of others having this problem but I can't find anything on it. I lay the belt flat to buckle it but when I tighten it, the belt crumples. The seat is solid, otherwise.

Anyone had this problem?

It it actually twisted or more like smushed or folded in on itself? Crumpling happens and isn't an issue. Actual twists are problematic.

It's mostly just smushed, not even folded.

There is one area I am concerned about but the rain chased me inside before I could look closely at it.

Where the shoulder belt comes around the outside of the seat's headwings, it seems to slip into a crack and it may have actually twisted. I will have to get some pictures tomorrow in the daylight.

Yup. I have 3 Pioneers in different vehicles and they all look like this. (I hate installing these seats.)
