Not sure what sort of crash testing they do

But I don't think it would have worked it a crash. This is an Eddie Bauer mirror that one of my nanny girls touched and then handed to me because it came off the seat. Part if the strap is brittle and rips easily now.

Yes, but that mirror is so light and flexible, it's the only one I'll actually use. I assume ALL these mirrors will be a projectile, so I want one that won't cause injury if it hits a kid.

I have that one and agree that it is low risk as a projectile, but boy is it a crappy mirror. I find it impossible to position properly, the straps are cheap and they sag. Plus it's so flexible that the reflection is very distorted.

I've never actually used mine to watch a kid (gazing danger), but to let an ERFer see the DVD player. She found it functional for that.

My long term plan is to put in a roof mount rf DVD screen but it has yet to happen.

I can't find them online or in store so I'm not sure what I'll do about a replacement. I don't need one right now so I hope another safe option comes out if and when I need another.

I wasn't really worried about it hitting the kids. Just made me think feeling how brittle the strap was compared to when I got it less than two years ago.

To be clear, I never used it while the car was moving to look at the kid. Just when stopped at a light or whatever. But yeah, pretty useless even for that.

I just needed to see that my nanny girl's chest clip was closed. Once she realized I could see she stopped trying to open it.
