Wow I really like the purple!!! The harness strap covers look really nice and like it would keep the harness from rubbing too much.

So do you think its taller measurement is really translating to taller height rf? Its hard to tell from the pics if it will last longer or not.

Well I went out with my 4 year old and a measuring tape. I'll post the pictures later, but it looks like the Nextfit is about an inch or two taller with the headrest all the way up. I'm pretty sure it would be less if I compressed the cover though.

Will the straps being so close to the neck be an issue as they get older? I'm looking to buy this for my 2.5 yr old.

My dd (turns 5 in four days) is one of those kids who is very bothered by close together straps but said the next fit was comfy because of the strap covers. Theres no outside seam against the neck on them so theyre soft.

Do you know how wide the base is? Or how it might puzzle RF with a FF Radian? I have to do a 3-across in my car and I'm so bummed I miss out on so many nice new seats because they don't work with our set-up. Your kids are gorgeous.. love the zombie pose. Lol.:D

..-.
Crotch strap is also easy to adjust.

Interesting you should mention that... I was playing with the Nextfit at BRU today and my 2.5 yr old son was a little cranky, so I can't be sure, but he didn't seem to love the way the straps fit on either side of his neck... I'll have to try it again with him to be sure. I thought at the time "Oh, they wouldn't have made them too close together", so I thought maybe he was just being fussy.
I did love how easily I could move the crotch strap to the other setting, too, though. :) And it looked, and seemed pretty comfy cushion-wise.

Overall, I liked it but I wanted to get people's reactions here and try it again before I bought one...maybe even in car if they let me. I'd have to justify getting something that pricey to my husband!

oh, and btw stephanie, your kiddos are adorable - and so cooperative!!! my 3 would NEVER have gone along with a carseat photo shoot, believe me!! (well, I could have talked the older two into it, possibly with bribes, but they would've grumped and whined about it and we all would've been miserable.)

<3 the purple. I think I might need one of these to help me cope with my grief over Phineasmama selling my TWE ;)

Seriously, though, I just wish this had more RF leg room. I don't really want to put my little guy OB in the radian, but I think that's probably coming up in the next few months b/c he's getting kind of cramped in the Advocate/Blvd.

I still would love to see comparison pics of the leg room in the Nexfit vs Blvd!

:p:eek: I'm sorry! If it helps any I would be sorely tempted to go out and buy one of these beauties myself if I didn't think it might end my marriage hehe...

Another member posted a thread last night with some great comparison pics of the Next Fit and Boulevard. I'd link to it if I weren't on the app.

I'm getting ready to head out to church right now, but I'll get some measurements and try a side by side install with the Radian and Next Fit in the third row of my Ody this afternoon when my youngest is napping.

As for the straps being close together - yes, I think it will potentially be an issue for older kids, although as was previously mentioned, the strap covers ARE soft, and are required at all times so that would likely help.

Did the coupon work then? Where can I find a coupon? Thanks!

Yes, the coupon worked. It was on the BRU website but it expired on the 9th. If you buy something there, you'll usually get a register receipt with a couple 20% off coupons that are good over the next few weeks.

Can you measure the front of the seat? And the base?

The base is about 13" wide.

The width of the front part of the seat is about 19" (measuring at the widest part of the front part of the seat - i.e. where the cup holder goes, which is about midway between the crotch strap and the harness adjuster button).

Does that make any sense?

I got them both installed with the seatbelt (and independently tight), but they don't really like each other. There was a gap at the base of the seats that was big enough for me to fasten the lock off on the Next Fit, which was nice, but the wider part of both seats kind of hit at the same point, forcing the Next Fit to sit crookedly - both FF and RF. Neither a Connext or a HB Monterey fit for a 3-across.

Exactly what I wanted! Actually doesn't sounds too bad. I might try it out if bru has it in stock.
