New Dionos - easier to adjust?

New member
So I have an radian XTSL which I am very happy with except it is a pain in the bum to tighten the straps. Yes, I know I have to ratchet them. But I think the issue is my vehicle seat. It seems that there seat presses on the strap when installed tight and prevents it from ratcheting properly. It seems like it is compressed against the seat where the strap starts to go under the seat. Does that make sense? It does this both FF and Rfing. I've checked and double checked how the adjusting strap is threaded and it looks right. It wasn't such a big deal when dd was rfing because I would just pulo on it from the back but now that she is ffing I can't reach my hand back there. Any suggestions? Also, I am going to need another one soon for my 9 months old (well, in several months) but I wasn't going to stay away from the Dionos if they were still difficult to adjust and maybe go with a Frontier for ODD (4 years) and pass the Radian down to the baby. Thoughts? Suggestions? Am I doing something wrong???

I found they are all a smidge easier to adjust just having them ffing just because I have the room to pull the adjust straight down.

But as far as the Dionos being easier than the Radians I found them both to be the same.

One tip for adjusting the Radian is to adjust it while the crotch buckle is unbuckled, then buckle it after tightening. :)
