New convertible

So, I'm looking to get a new seat for my 7 month old. He's about to out grow his SR22. I have two older MAs, and they have a few years let before they are expired, but I want the safest, best seat for my son and will be passing those on to grandparents/sitter. What should I get? Cost is not a factor and since we bought a new vehicle to fit three seats well I'm pretty sure anything will fit well in our car (2011 GMC Acadia), although the bucket seats are not real deep. He is tall and thinner. 17 lbs and 28 inches at his 6 month visit. I'm a fan of Britax because of their easy installs, but I'm open to any brand. I just want the safest and ease of install.

There is no safest. They all pass the same testing. You could keep your Marathons and buy the grandparents something like the Cosco Scenera.

Otherwise, I'd look at the Learning Curve True Fit, Graco My Ride, Evenflo Triumph 65, Sunshine Kids Radian (the most difficult of my list to install), and the Safety 1st Complete Air.
