Question Need seat rec for 98 lb 4 year old

I'd first look at something like an EZ-On harness. They go quite high and can be used with some ease (compared to other options, at least) in regular vehicles.

If the weight gain will continue, I'd look into special needs seats. Or if there are medical reasons behind the weight that may impact how the child sits and for how long they'll need a harness.

Otherwise, an EZ-On for many years, since pretty soon there won't be a booster that will work, so you'd want a harness to the five step test, basically.

Thanks. I was at a seat check when I posted this quickly... This kid totally stumped me. I wasn't the one who tried to help them, but to me, he didn't look like he weighed 98 lbs. He was definitely above average for any seat I knew about besides the Frontier. And a Frontier isn't in this family's budget. Not even close. Such a sad situation.
