I'm not sure why this didn't appear in the new threads, but I am needing advice on which high-back booster would be best for dd. I will be installing in my mom's car as dd is going home with my mom on Sunday to stay through the week. I want something reliable and safe, but not too expensive. DD is 4 y/o and weighs approx 48 lbs. I need recommendations fast b/c I have to go out and buy it today/tonight!!! Please help!:thanx!:

Graco Nautilus or Britax Parkway (not that either of those is easy to find, but they are the best, in that order...). Maybe Apex?

If you really need something now, then the Turbo is the best you're going to find (Safestep 3).... It's ok...you'll need to assemble it (screwdriver necessary for the screws in the armrests) and make sure you know how to route the belt and teach grandma how to route the belt (Parkway is much easier, which is why I listed it as a second choice).

I would take your dd to try it on. My ds didn't like the Parkway because it didn't support his thighs completely by he loves the Graco Air booster.

I'd really think the Air Booster is way too deep for a 4 yo... maybe if she has exceptionally long femurs it would work, but if a kids' legs are sticking out when they sit on a booster, then they will scootch forward to have their legs hang normally, and the belt will ride up on the abdomen :(

I agree does why I think it is better when parents take the child to buy the seat.

It didn't show up, because you posted it in the reviews forum, and all posts in that forum are moderated.

Yes, I agree, we are heading out this morning to "try on" new seats. I appreciate your help!
