Need a harnessed forward-facing seat that doesn't obstruct view

My 4 year old (45 pounds - not sure height - she's about 75th percentile for height) is currently forward facing in a Graco Extend to Fit. But, her seat obstructs our view when trying to back up (2006 Toyota Sienna 2nd row install). I think the big base is not helping. Anything that will "sit lower" on the seat yet keep her harnessed for another year or two?

Hi!
While you could try a combination seat- a Graco Tranzitions sits pretty low though it's not the easiest to install, for instance- the Extend2Fit isn't a super tall base seat as these things go.

You could consider moving her to the side.

You could also consider adding a backup camera- I've heard they aren't as pricey as they used to be.

Good luck!

I find the Evenflo SureRide sits nice and low for forward-facing. I doubt it would obstruct your view more than the seat itself. It sits lower than the seat + head restraint in an average sedan. It is a convertible, so it doesn't transition to a booster, but it's pretty inexpensive and has a pretty tall harness. If you call Evenflo they will sell you shoulder harness pads if needed.
