My top side vs literider pics...

I know there are other threads showing the difference...can't hurt to have more though, right? :p

Adrian's shoulder belt is coming too far down on his shoulder for my comfort. So I got him the top side because the shoulder belt is routed over the armrest and should bring it up higher.

Looks good!

Anyone know if there are any booster seats that fit anything like the top side in Canada? DD is starting to have the same shoulder issue with her booster seats in my car but is nowhere near 5 stepping.

Looks great! Is it comfy for him?

Sent from my DROID4 using Car-Seat.Org

We didn't go anywhere yet so I don't know. It's pretty comparable to the literider in terms of padding. Adrian thinks the literider is comfy, but we rarely spend more than 40 minutes in the car at a time, and even that is only occasionally.

over time the padding on the top side will compress and stay that way.. and not after too long... so it has about half the padding, but it still has more than the other cosco backless booster that is recommended a lot (that I used for Damian)... it doesn't have the tall armrests or the cupholder that one (ambassador/high rise/etc... it's been sold under several names) has, but I do like the blow molded plastic and how low it sits for kids with long torsos and/or skinny shoulders.

I wish it had a belt guide only because if you have a kid who doesn't have a long enough torso, that belt is going to be on the neck or face really fast...

I think this is the best illustration of the VAST difference in belt fit on Ruthie

Cosco Top side (when she's not leaning into the belt with some "okay, let's go" attitude, it fits just as it does Adrian... they're so close to the same height)
