My Ride 65 seatbelt install

When installing a convertible with the shoulder belt with a retracting lock do you need to use the clip? For some reason this part confuses me.

Here is my install. Very minimal movement but it's the first time installing a My Ride and I don't want to get it wrong. Also, for an 13 month old can it be more upright than the leveler shows?

It in the center of a 2009 Honda accord. Thanks!

It looks fine to me. You don't need a locking clip. But the shoulder belt pulls up on the edge of the seat and might start tipping the seat in time. If you find that happening, and it annoys you, come back and we'll walk you through using the locking clip to prevent the tipping. :)

I always install my My Ride with a seat belt that locks at the retractor. I've found that the My Ride is a pretty heavy seat and there isn't much tipping.

All you need to do is make sure the belt is locked in some way. One way to lock the belt is to use the switchable retractor. Another way to lock the belt is to use the locking clip. You've used the retractor, so you're fine.

You cannot put the seat more upright than the indicator allows. The ball must always be completely in the green.

This is true, but make sure when you are looking at the level that your car is on level ground otherwise the level indicator won't be accurate. I believe the level indicator on the My Ride goes from 45 to 30 degrees, 30 degrees being the most upright you can have the seat.

When I install like that, I make sure to load and unload the child from the side opposite of the buckle. I found that pulling the child out of the buckle side causes the seat to tip.
