I just traded my corporate lease car in (2012 Escape) and got my new ride for this year (2013 MKT)...Now everyone can fit, but now I have issues with what seats to use for whom where.
As it is, it looks like my 5yo needs to be in the 3rd row in the non-LATCH position. He is currently riding in a Britax MA, but I just sold that to a friend of mine who needs it for the rear-facing capability...she was affected by the massive floods in the Flint area this past week.
Plus, I'm not real thrilled with how tall the MA sits in that 3rd row so close to the rear tailgate...he keeps sticking his hands up in the bight when it's opened and one of these times he's going to get his fingers smashed.
So I'm looking for something with a somewhat lower profile and harnesses to 65/80lb-ish. This child is a LOooooonG way from being ready for a booster maturity wise.
We have a ProSport, but the straps are too twisty for him to do properly and it's just ugly when he has to ride in it without help. We have a Go!, but again with the way it adjusts I'm guessing the outcome will be similar and meltdowns will ensue.
So...what else should I be looking at? I've had so many seats expire in the past 6 months that we're down to boosters plus the ProSport & Go! as "spares"...but one of those really needs to be installed in our van as a primary seat for in there.
