Question Keep seat or return?

At my baby shower today my mom gave me a Safety 1st All-In-One Convertable car seat.
It is really nice looking and says goes from 5 to 50lbs. I know they dont really make good boosters and I beleive I read they have shorter harness height.
So my question- should I keep it and if so when is best usable (newborn, infant, toddler)? Or should I take it back to Walmart and exchange?
I dont really have to worry about ERF seats as I have 4 others and by that time no kids in them as well as multiple frontiers that this baby can use at that point....

I, personally, find them a big pain to install and use. So I would exchange it for something else.

I'd return for the store credit for sure! If you need another seat they have a bigger selection online...otherwise you could use it for something you DO need.

I was considering returning and getting a infant seat.

Part of me feels bad as my mother did try and I really appreciate that.

I'd definitely return and get a gift card. Wm's in-store selection of infant seats isn't that great but they have tons online. For the price of the 3in1 you could get a Sr30, safety 1st onboard or something else.

I totally understand that. I wouldn't tell your mother unless it comes up. If it even comes up in conversation, say you really liked the seat but it simply wasn't compatible in your car.

ETA: if it were my mom and I got another convertible, I'd totally play it off as that's the convertible she originally got me.

Luckily my mom lives either 7 hours or 4 hours away depending which house she is at... so I dont think she would see the seat much at all.
