My sister recently took my nephew in for his 1 year well baby visit. (Our children have the same pedi ) My sister asked him about turning her DS forward facing. (I cannot convince her to ERF ) Pedi told her he could not be forward facing yet as he is not yet 20 lbs. He then proceeded to tell her that if he did make it to 20 lbs before the end of the year she could switch him but that it was pointless as after the first of the year Iowa is changing the law to rear facing to 2 years old minimum. I know that's the new recommendation, but is it actually becoming a law in Iowa after the first of the year? I searched Google and searched here and found no info. The Pedi is a great Dr and very knowledgeable, so I'm not sure why he would say that if it was not true. Anyone else heard this?
