Is Cosco Scenera still considered a good choice for travel?

Hi. We are taking a medical trip for our oldest daughter and will be bringing our one year old. We will fly and rent a car. My oldest is long, has special needs, and weighs very little. We have been using a Cosco Scenera for our travels with her for years - on planes and rental cars. She s 6 and long so she faces forward now despite only being 27 lbs. That is the seat we use on her school bus as well. We were planning on taking that seat for our trip for our 6 year old. We also need a seat for our one year old to travel with. She is just about 20 lbs. Our infant seat expired so we got convertible carseats for our cars, but they are too heavy to travel with. Obviously, she is still rear facing. Do we get another Scenera for our travels? I saw there is some other Scenara model that was listed on the flight article, but I did not see a comparison of the two Scenara models (I could have easily missed it). We have a lot of gear and logistical challenges due to my 6 year old's health challenges so we have to keep it as simple as we can and plan, plan, plan. Thanks!

The Scenera NEXT is easier to install in many cases and can be much more upright rear facing. It is a great travel seat.

For your 6 year old, you mention she is tall. Is she still under the top slots of the Scenera?
