is a Nautilus what we need?

Dang, my phone just ate my post.

I need to replace DD1's expired seat in my MIL's truck.

MIL found a flower-print Graco Nautilus for $109 at Walmart. Manufacture date 10/2013.

DD1 is 5 years old, 36 pounds, don't know how tall, but her length is in her legs. She's harnessed in a Britax Pinnacle in my car (a Mazda5).

Come June, I'd love to be able to fit three across in the truck. Will a Nautilus puzzle with a RFing Evenflo Triumph Advance and a Chicco KeyFit 30 on either side of it? Would a Harmony Defender puzzle better?

The Nautilus is pretty wide, I always had to put it on the passenger side outboard so the huge cup holder wouldn't interfere with anything next to it.

If that's a 10 year Nautilus then I'd grab it and try it. If it's a 6/9 year one, I'd look for a newer DOM.

It is a 10-year Nautilus, so losing just over one year of useful life off a $100 seat doesn't feel like a big deal.

I'm not thrilled with the harness, I really prefer my no-rethread seats. I'm spoiled. :p

Great deal...don't know if it will work with the Triumph or not...depends on your truck..in my dad's old truck, I think it would. But some won't. The Triumph does not puzzle that well with other seats b/c of how wide & rounded it is.

If you need something more narrow, she'll do just fine in an Evenflo Maestro at her weight. The Secure Kid was also on sale on walmart.com for the same as that nautilus..and it's more narrow.
