If your favorite seats had a baby . . .

Thought this might be fun. I was installing a Pria 85 "ribble knit" seat in my car yesterday and thinking how much I would like it if it had a smoother harness adjustment. And an IMMI buckle. So basically if a Pria 85 and a Milestone had a baby.

(But who am I kidding, if I were designing my perfect seat I would also give it the chest clip of a Chicco Nextfit and the lock-offs of a Britax. So maybe we're getting farther away from "baby" and more toward "Frankenstein...")

What about you? What seat characteristics would you combine, if you could?

This is impossible! This is like my third try... I need a rearfacing IMMI Go with the harness adjuster of an Asana (looseness and headrest height on the same smooth pull), and if it's going to weigh enough to ever need a seatbelt (which I hope not, because I want a seat with rigid LATCH front and back and no bulk dedicated to belt paths), then the lockoffs of a Graco. Through a self inflating bubble bum pad in there for comfort, too.
In other words...low low low profile, tons of leg support, no rethreading... Ok, now I want the self retracting harness of a REALLY old Fisher Price convertible... You're right...Frankenseat's monster, lol :D

Ha! Yeah, originally I was thinking only along the lines of "I wonder how bad it would be to just switch out the buckle and chest clip on this seat...." Then it kind of spiraled from there. With a rear-facing IMMI Go, you're really inventing a whole new kind of seat!

I think I'd be happy if our Pria had a baby with our G3 Boulevard. Love the latches, harness, and lock- offs on the boulevard. But I love the extra legroom, color, extra padding, material, and cup holder, and to compactness (is that a word) on the Pria.

The Foonf would be the baby daddy for the rigid latch, rebound bar, REACT, all the EPP foam, and leg room. Then I would make the Britax Boulevard G4 convertible the mommy for the super easy latch and belt installation, light weight, and cushiness. Then I would throw in some great colors like the Pria, a load leg, a swiveling seat for loading, and a built in cupholder!

I've never heard a Britax described as light weight before!

I haven't used so many seats now that I couldn't make an informed decision. They just keep coming out, and I keep on keeping on with my Peg Perego.

Mine is simple, a frontier 85 with click tight. There's 3 years left on our 85 and I really think I'm going to bawl like a baby when it expires. The first couple of years before I became a pro at installing it were a bit rough though. Oh how I love that seat.
