If you love your Britax Marathon Original (classic)...what other seat do you like?

I have owned 5 of these seats and LOVE them.

Love the plush, yet easy to wash covers. Easy install, USA made, latch connectors, etc.

BFF has a 4 month old who HATES her Graco Snugride. During a recent visit, she purchased a Graco MyRide for her parents and baby liked it much better. BFF however would like something a bit more plush for her main seat at home and really likes my Marathons.

I've been out of the convertible buying market for quite some time, is there another seat that would be a better buy for her? I have never used a Marathon 70, but from what I've read--shorter shell.

SO--do I tell her to get the Marathon 70 or something else?

Budget-open
Baby is currently 4m and about 50th percentile, wearing 3-6m clothing, about 15#
Parents are both on the shorter side (dad=5'7" mom=5'2")
Requirements: EASY to install! On a recent visit--the infant seat was horribly installed. I've since educated them, but still, no tricky installs, please.

They currently drive an Audi SUV, but will probably be changing cars. Most likely will be some sort of SUV and a sedan.

They live in Houston--so something that works well with the heat and humidity a plus.

Thanks!

Yup the Marathon classic is sold at Target but only online now, and they also sell the Roundabout 55 online at Wal Mart. And maybe Target? That one has the same shell as the classic Marathon but it forward faces to 50 lbs instead of 65.

The new Marathon 70 is just as easy to use, although they are moving away from their plush covers for some reason :(

I also really like the Peg Perego convertible but that one is pretty pricey.

My favorite seat ever was our marathon classic and now our roundabout50. We've had one in our home at all times for 9 years now.

I really like our Truefit Premier as well. The MyRide is just ok. I'm not looking forward to when dd outgrows the Roundabout50 and TrueFit by weight at 35 pounds and we have to start using the MyRide and radian full time.

I love my Peg seat and I think I'll be getting either another one of those or a Nextfit for DS when the time comes. The Peg was easy to install and I think the Nextfit is even easier.
