I really liked the Guide65

It's a nice budget seat!

What I liked most is that the headwings adjust independently of the harness. It always bothered me on the ProSport that moving the harness up a slot moves the headwings waaay up.

Here's N, 23ish lbs, 19 months, and on the 3rd slot of her RA55. The top of the headwings hit the top of the shell how I have it adjusted. I think it has *slightly* more shell height than the new gen Britax convertibles. I didn't measure though.

ETA: and while I didn't compare, it looks like more legroom than the RA55, too.

I liked the color and your daughter is a cutie!

I saw the Guide65 at Walmart not too long ago and liked it too after fiddling with it a little bit. The biggest thing that I liked was the fabric. It is very similar to my via fabric, which I love. It was the Ziggy one that my Walmart had. If I had a reason to buy a 4th car seat for DS, it would be a contender. My only worry is the potential head slump issues that others have mentioned with this seat.

I isn't notice the head issue. My daughter spends her time in both the MR and RA55 with her neck and head as forward as they can go off the seat so she can look around. I don't think she'd have a problem with head slump rearfacing. My experience forward facing is that it's totally dependent on the car. The Maestro and ProSport have issues with headslump in some vehicles and not in others.

The head slump issue that I've seen is while rear facing actually - the head rest pushes the child's head forwards, sometimes an alarming amount. It does seem to be very dependent on the child/car combo to matter, but for those with a problem, it's a big problem. We've had this seat out in Canada for a while now, and have discussed the issue here: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=213935&highlight=guide+head+forward

Also FYI - when it's outgrown RF and FF is dependent on the head rest, not the shell. 1" or tips of the ears relative to the head rest, NOT the shell like many seats. This makes it far taller than it first appears.

I put DD2 in one today at WM and her shoulders were right below the third slots. I briefly looked in the manual and couldn't see anything about only being able to use certain harness slots rf. Is there?

I wasn't able to really read it carefully with both kids messing around. If not, I might buy this for DD2 and get rid of my scenera.
