Question How to install car seats with a shoulder belt?

Hi, I have a 1992 Honda Accord. I have had my daughters car seat in the middle with the lap belt ever since we got the car. However I am due in July with my second and will probably not be able to get another vehicle by then. So, I will need to put both of the car seats on the outside seats. I have tried to do this with my daughters and, because it's a shoulder and lap belt, I can never get it tight enough, and if I do it just comes loose anyways since there's no way of locking it in place.

I don't have the owners manual for the car and none of my friends or family have had this problem so I'm kind of on my own here. I have until July to figure it out but how would I install both of the car seats?

Hi there. Congrats on #2 coming up!

You'll need to use either the locking clip or the lockoffs that come with your carseats. They have some way to lock the belt. Instructions on how to use either the locking clip or lockoffs will be in the carseat manuals. If you let us know which seats you have, we can give you more detailed instructions.
