Question How old was your booster child?

He can buckle anything (he's 6). But the belt would always be twisted a lot. He does know how to tighten the belt around his body (and not over a sweater, etc.). The Oobr is pretty easy for him.

The Prosport is in our Civic (he can do it) but even I have trouble getting the lap belt tight enough. I wonder if this seat is just not a good fit for this car? It almost seems like it's too wide (in that it makes adjusting too tricky)?? And the way the lap belt guides are don't help. With the Oobr, everything tightens up easily with a quick tug.

Kate has always buckled herself, starting at age 4 for booster training. But, she's.. freakishly just... *able* to do stuff. Always has been. Alex is 5 and can just now barely sometimes buckle his freaking nauti. I don't see him buckling in a booster for quite some time.

My 5.5 yr old cam buckle herself in certain situations, but not others. She can in my bucket seat in the van, but not in the 3rd row because of the way the buckles are positioned.

It has to be the right combination of a particular booster, seating position, and cooperation/mood that day lol

Her Monterey yesterday and she tried buckle herself and was unsuccessful. The reminded me she buckles herself on the school bus. So she has the skills. I put a pool noodle on the belt stalk so hopefully she can get it down.

DS (6.5) has been able to buckle his booster ever since we started booster training him. He currently rides in a Harmony Cruz.
