Help with car seat for larger thighs

Hello, I have had a problem for a while. I have spent time in the car seat section at several stores. My daughter has a disease that makes her gain weight at a different pace than children her age. She is 4 and 60lbs. The harness fits her chest but her thighs are the problem. I can not get the bottom to connect without straining and hurting her. She currently has a high back booster, we use the cars seat beat to strap her down. Is this my only option? I have a hard time swallowing just having her in a seat belt strap. Her teacher said just a booster but I don't think I want just a booster.

My kid was 65 pounds at 4.5 years old. She couldn't fit the Britax or Orbit toddler seat after about 58 pounds bc her thighs were too big. She actually fit in the Diono Radian R120 up through 75 pounds (when the seat was crashed) & now at 79 pounds is still able to fit in the Diono Pacifica.

If you can afford it the Britax Frontier 90 might work. I can actually fit in the seat and get the harness buckled around my legs, I'm a size 4 and hippy (thanks to my four kids lol).

If you can afford it, I'd go for a Frontier as that will give you the most harness weight. If not, the pioneer is the next best. Both of these are quite roomy. I'm guessing the PP that tried Britax seats tried convertibles, not combination (harness to booster seats).
