HBB not sitting flush with seat

I have a 7.5yo 25kg 125(ish)cm FF in a Britax KidFix isize. The back of the seat is really upright, and I cannot find a position in any car where the seat sits flush with the back of the car. The headrests in my car cannot be removed - and I’ve test driven 3 other cars and had the same issue as it seems most new cars you can’t remove the headrest… currently driving a 21 plate Discovery. What to do here? I can’t change my car, so how do I make this safe? Any recommendations of a seat that sits flush against the middle row of seats? He’s not ready to move to a backless booster but I don’t know what else to do. Nothing in my car manual about this!

Hi! I'm guessing you're in Europe, as you mention European seats and cars. Unfortunately, fixed, forward-leaning headrests can be a big problem with boosters. I would suggest checking with the vehicle manufacturer to see if they can suggest a list of high back boosters that work.
