Have Radian harness adjustors improved? Or am I imagining?

My XT from 2009 is IMPOSSIBLE to adjust the harness on it (it's FF). I pulled it with my might, and it's like it's stuck. It's always been that way and given me lots of grief. It's a back-up seat in Nana's car now but I'm very mad at it. Our other XT was the same way.

My newer XTSL? Kind of a pain RF and FF BUT tug, tug, tug works!

Yesterday I played with the new Diono one at the store and it's nearly Britax easy (in the store, anyway).

So am I nuts or have they made gradual, good changes?

Yes, my Diono is pretty smooth for a ratcheting harness. Easier than my multiple SKJP seats. My SKJP from 06 is a total beast.

So I think things have gotten better, but I've had Radians for almost 7 years now, I feel like I can truly speak to these gradual changes. I'm fairly certain I'm not imagining them.. yet so many people still say their Diono is a cranky beast to tighten. So maybe I'm wrong. I dunno.

How's that for not helpful.

My RXT is soooo much easier than the other Radians were. But I've heard others say their Dionos are the same as the older ones.

I guess I should add that without a kiddo, mine is a breeze. When I add a child, it seems to be much harder.

The two I've owned have always been easy without a kid in it. I had a xtsl from 2010 and now have a r120. They're exactly the same to me. Easy to tighten but not to get the last bit of slack out. I've never done the tug tug tug. I just pull it all at once.

Hmm...yes, in the store there was no kid in it.
And without a child they've all been OK (except the XT which is always stuck or something and a pain).

So, I find it really hard to not be able to have a child in it to adjust, because then it's trial and error.

Why adding a child suddenly makes it difficult or impossible to adjust, I'm not sure. But it's not a feature that's too practical, lol! I wish they'd understand this and design it better!
