Graco SS 1/Graco Snugride 32 - confused!

Hi, I am due in a few weeks and need to buy a car seat pronto! I have to order it because there aren't any stores that sell one of the above seats within an hour drive. I'd heard on here that the SS1 was being discontinued. I thought I'd wait and see what patterns the Snugride 32 was coming out in but have been unable to find any but a few on the main site, none of which I like. Where are they hiding?! I do like the SS1 pattern in Soho, I think. It seems like I've read some about complaints about the different fabrics on these seats - some being scratchy and/or really hot. Does anyone know anything about the Soho fabric? Also, that seat has the gracopedic foam in it. I guess some don't? Is that something I need to get? TIA for any help/links tonew Snugride 32 patterns!

Hi and congrats on the baby.:) I will try to answer a few questions for you... As far as the new patterns on the Graco site they may not all be there yet. The are redoing the site and still have tons to upload. You can check out a few other sites like Albeebaby.com, Amazon.com, and Target.com for some of the SR32 patterns. I know there are some other sites just can't think of them off the top of my head right now. As far as for the fabrics I believe the Soho is much like the French Roast one that I had. It is a little more slicker and hotter to me in the summer. I decided to go for a cotton one which is great for the summer.;) Don't get me wrong though, the slicker fabrics are great and some prefer them alot more over the cotton ones. The gracopedic foam is your choice. None of mine have it and it just offers more of a cushion between the child and seat. I will try to find some links for you on the new SR32 pattern.:D

ETA: Links....
