Graco Safety Surround Turbobooster at Target!

1) Does it have screws?
2) Does the back fall off if you try to pick it up or look at it sideways? ;)
3) How is the bum padding compared to a 'regular' turbo (which has nothing)?
4) Is the internal seat dimensions the same as the 'regular' turbo? I feel like DD has a lot of side-to-side wiggle room and I contantly had to remind her to sit in the middle of the seat.

1. Yes
2. Didn't check.
3. Padding is the same except there is thicker padding at the front outer edges of the seat, but I can't imagine it will make a difference for most kids.
4. I thought it looked exactly the same, but I didn't compare.

I'm told the official Target launch date is Sunday. I have one on hand for a review. If you have any easy questions, I may be able to answer them in my unboxing/preview at CarseatBlog in the next day or two.

What's the exp on it?

ehh. I'm underwhelmed then. Seems like marketing more than anything, then.

I felt a little underwhelmed after I saw the foam on the sidewings is on the outside of the shell. What's it doing there?

I guess we don't think too much of the Britax SICT energy absorbing cushions, but there must be something safe about it, or Graco wouldn't do something so similar, kwim?

Question for any of you who have seen it in person: Would you say it has more or less SIP than the Nautilus? I've been debating on putting DD1 in a booster and passing the GN down to DD2 when she outgrows the harness, or getting another GN for DD2 and using DD1's in booster mode. Price isn't an issue. I still like that the GN can be latched in booster mode, but it likely won't be in a seat with LATCH in our van so not a deal-breaker.

For preventing serious injury, I expect it doesn't matter a whole lot whether the energy absorbing material is inside or outside.
