From looking at the MyRide 65 review (http://carseatblog.com/2312/maybe-the-graco-my-ride-65-could-be-my-ride-a-review/) that has pictures of the harness slots, it looks like there is about 2.5 inches between the bottom slot and the next slot up. From the data submitted on the measurements spreadsheet, it appears the bottom slot is 7 in. with infant insert (8.5 in. without the insert). The blog review said the bottom slot was around 8 in. with the infant insert. That should put the next slot at around 9.5-10.5 inches.

Checked to make sure that the cover hasn't shifted any. Sometimes the slots on the cover don't line up well with the slots on the shell. Is your child coming close to the next slot?

my son Sebastian has an 11 inch torso with a cloth diaper but has recently potty trained and is just a tad tuner the second harness height with the infant insert. the insert says it's required on the first 2 harness heights he turned 2 in August is the insert really needed? he hates it.
