Graco 3in1 E2F vs graco 3in1 slim fit as second seat in Jeep Grand Cherokee

I currently own a 2011Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have a 23 month old rear facing in a graco 3in1extend fit behind the passenger side. I have a 5 month old rear facing in a key fit 30 in center. He was already 28inches at his 4 month appt so will need outgrow the key fit soon. I would like to find a seat that would work in center as I sit in back on longer drivers. I am looking at either purchasing another graco 3in1E2F or graco slimfit. Would either of those work in that position?

It's hard to know for sure without trying it, but a lower profile seat like the Slim Fit may puzzle well next to the E2F. You may want to try the E2F in the middle since it has a narrower base. A more basic seat like the Cosco Scenera Next will also sit lower since it doesn't have a recline base. That seat may last you long enough that you feel more comfortable staying in the front on longer trips and can get another, more fully-featured convertible seat or pass the E2F to the baby and get the older child a forward-facing harnessed seat. From online photos, the back seat looks pretty wide and flat, so you should be able to find a workable solution without too much trouble, I think!
