Frontier 90 rod issue

I tried searching threads about this issue but had no luck. I just got a FR90 and the rod was pushed out to the side. I slid it back in and it seems ok. Should I be concerned?

When I spoke to britax in early July they said they were advising to push it back into place. They said they'd replace the seat if necessary but it was fine to just push back in.

Thank you! I actually posted in that thread lol. My seat is also nearly impossible to tighten the harness.

Following...was thinking of purchasing this seat...why are so many people having such a hard time tightening the harness? That is annoying

I should have just kept the first one I had, it didn't have these issues. I'm going to try to install it tomorrow without the headrest on the vehicle seat and see if that helps with the tightening.

Oh good...I pushed mine in on the Pinnacle when I got it and didn't think anything of it since I thought they said it was fine. The seat is a third backup, but the twice? I've used it the harness has seemed way harder to deal with than what I'm used to on Britax seats. :(

Exactly!!! I posted in another thread.
Why on earth is it so hard to tighten? Is there something wrong with my seat? This is Britax after all, which makes the easiest, smoothest harness ever (at least on my Advocate).

I don't get it!

I dealt with Radians for years and I was looking forward to an easier harness.

I feel like I can't get it (Frontier 90) tight enough on my child. And these things have been tested...and didn't this come up? Seems like such an easy thing to notice and maybe fix. Help!

Now after hearing all these issues with the harness, it is making me rethink my decision about getting one for my son. Do I just get another FR85? Would the issues you have with the harness be a deal breaker for all of you that have it?

I had the FR85 2 years ago but returned it as the harness was just as bad. For me, at least. It just was not what I was expecting.

Yes, I do think there is something wrong with your seat and I would call Britax. Anyone that is having problems should call.

I got mine right when it first came out and I have had zero issues. The harness is just as easy as my Blvd 70 to adjust. I have no issues raising or lowering the headrest. There seems to be a number of seats not working correctly and I would definitely call Britax and push to have the issue fixed.

I had one fr90 replaced so far for the rod coming out. It was in when I got the seat and and over time it came out. Both seats have been easy to tighten. I met up with another member here who has fr90 also and she commented how easy mine were to tighten.
