Flying with adults with special needs

I am on a Yahoo listserve for parents of severely disabled children (although some of the children are now adults!). A young woman (about 22) who has cerebral palsy is going to be the maid of honor in her friend's wedding. The wedding is at least a year away, they haven't decided on the location but are planning it to be a "destination" wedding. The young woman to my understanding is unable to sit up without assistance or has great difficulty. She rides uses a wheel chair to get around as well as restraining her in the car. I believe the wheelchair has to be reclined in order to support her. The mom is how she will be able to sit on the plane since she can't sit up? I couldn't think of much other than using CARES beyond it's limits (if it would even fit her). I'm not sure about her size measurements. The mom is planning ahead knowing that this is going to be tricky. Also, I'm not sure about transportation once they are at their destination.

Thanks for any advice ideas!

I was wondering about this last week. Are there any airplanes that remove seat so that wheelchairs can be transported with out having to tranport to the plane seat?

I found these websites, they are worth reading before going. They were listed on this site: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/archive/t-609084.html
