Question FF True fit & Britax Roundabout 55 (Q & pics)

Hi, I tried installing my two car seats forward facing yesterday and trying DS in them (he is still RF, but I need to learn to install them FF eventually).

I am wondering if they are to reclined. The harness by his stomach is not flat (is it suppose to be)? The Britax is position 1 or 2 and I did flip the recline bar on the truefit to the correct position. I did recline the captains chairs in the mazda 5 a few clicks so that most of the carseat back contacted the seat back. I did notice in the carseat manual that the picture of the truefit ff, the carseat did not make full contact with the seat back. Would it be better to try to install the seat like that so that it is more upright? Sorry if its a stupid question, I am not use to installing FF so I am second guessing myself.

I prefer to have the vehicle seat back as upright as possible to get a good installation.

Did you route the tethers under the vehicle head restraints?

Make sure you properly store the LATCH strap on the TrueFit. I realize this was probably just a temporary test installation, but you'll want to do it for a "real" install.

I will try to reinstall with the seat back more upright, thank you. I know the tether needs to go under the headrest in the second row in my mazda 5, but would it also be OK to just remove the headrest?.... Yep, I need to store the latch hooks for a real install, but I still haven't figured out how to do that yet. I think it goes under the car seat pad near the child bottom. I don't remember seeing it in the manual, but I will look again.
Also, I am correct in assuming from the pictures in the manual that the car seat back does not need to contact the vehicle seat back fully?
