easy to load seat suggestions

Well, I didn't go to Target 1 day and the Marathons I was stalking are both gone today! Well, they were gray/black and I really like the red anyway lol.

So, I really want a smaller seat but not super high sides and the head wings of the Proride make it harder to get him in there since the Prius's back door openings slope down so much. So that's a consideration. Thought I might like a Roundabout 40 lol and there's lots of them on my local CL. (Just kidding of course!)

What on earth would fit the bill? I'm not terribly concerned about longevity. I might get a Radian later on because I really like it for the older RFers. But it's low, and I'm liking higher right now so kiddo can see out. Any ideas?

So:
Higher up on a base
No super high sides
No head wings probably
RF convertible

I had this issue come up recently (the sloped roofline) in a Dodge Charger. I didn't really understand the grandmother's concern until I saw the problem with my own two eyes and then I was like "Holy heck - how do you get the RF kid out without bonking his head each and every time?" The Charger's back seat is huge and very carseat friendly for the most part but with a RF convertible outboard it was an obvious problem.

Anyhow, we had met at the location where I keep all my training seats so I went inside to grab a few seats that I thought might fit the bill and the Classic MA was the winner hands-down. I wish I could remember everything else that we tried but I don't - sorry. But I definitely remember that we both agreed that the Classic MA/RA50 was the clear winner of everything that we tried. She left and went straight to Target. Lol.

HTH!

Thanks. Why does it have to be so boring lol! I've already had that twice! Well it would also last awhile I guess. Did the harness adjuster get any better on them do you know?

I'm not really sure since the ones I have in my collection are all expired now and just used for training. But I have installed new models of the RA50 in the last few months and the adjuster on that model is smooth like butter. But no HUGS, no lock-offs and no separate LATCH attachments. However, you do get the bonus of the 3 crotch strap positions which is nice and does buy you a little extra room in that area compared with the MA.

Check your local Goodwill(s) a couple of times in the next week, you might find the MAs have migrated there (since Target sends them their clearance.) :)
