My brother and sister in law are expecting their first child. They are an older couple and looking at the Doona infant seat and stroller for the ease of use. This is a European seat. Does anyone have any reviews on this seat?

Hi! The Doona is an Israeli design, approved and sold in the U.S. I found it installed baseless easily in a newer vehicle but not in an older car. The base is fairly easy to use but bulky. It is a very heavy seat to lift in and out. In addition, it is safest for babies to use a lie flat stroller or bassinet- rather than be semi-upright in a car seat- when using a stroller in the early months. I wouldn't recommend this seat for most families; the exception would be very frequent travelers or those who don't have a car and take cabs frequently.

I agree. I find this to be a niche product, more geared toward parents who travel or who live in a big city and don't drive a car on a regular basis, but use cabs a lot.

So I just used the Noona today with my nanny baby- age 7 mos. She's teeny and a lightweight.
I was not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised!!

It was VERY easy to install in the car and super easy to "transform" from stroller to car seat and vice versa. I didn't find it overly heavy but that could be because the baby in it didn't weigh much- I'm guessing 12-15 lbs tops.

As a stroller it handled very well- also through sand and wood chips. MUCH easier than the Sit n Stroll.

It does not have a basket or anyplace to stash anything but I did put a medium sized diaper backpack (for two) on the push handle and had zero issues with tipping or even feeling tippy.

All in all- I really had fun with it and enjoyed using it today!

I'm trying to add a photo but I cannot figure out how to "hide" the face. What app can I use that I can edit/black out or sticker the face?

Anyone have any suggestions?
