DD complaining hips hurt in TF

DD is ffing in an original TF. Recently, she has started asking me to not hit any bumps, because it makes her hips hurt. When I ask her to show me where it hurts, she points to where the hip straps cross her hip joints. The harness is not too tight. In fact, I've loosened it to where it just barely, barely passes the pinch test. She only weighs 37# and isn't wide-built at all. Any ideas?

I sparkly heart, L-O-V-E, love the TF. <3 I really don't want to get rid of it, but I'm not the one sitting in it. I don't want DD to be uncomfortable every time we get in the pickup to go somewhere. We have a Radian she prefers to ride in rfing, but she is almost too tall. She has full-body slump when she sleeps, even in the TF, so I know the Radian would just be a disaster ffing in the pickup. And, yes, she is very vocal that the slumping bothers her. We have a Maestro in DH's pickup that I could try in mine. Just in case the Maestro doesn't work (Please work! My slush fund is empty. :-( ), are the hip straps on the FR85 set wider than the TF's? TIA

Maybe it's her legs dangling bothering instead of the straps digging in? I would try putting something in front of her she could prop her feet on (like a rolled up comforter) to see if that would help :)

Her knees just bend at the edge, so it doesn't look like it. Looks cab be deceiving, though. She is always trying to find a place to prop them instead of letting her feet hang. I'll pile some folded blankets there and see if it helps.

Someone else just posted about their kids back hurting in a TF! :-/ I've always wanted one of these but now I'm wondering! Hope the comforter thing helps, I was going to suggest something to prop feet up that wouldn't be a projectile.

Sent from my iPhone, please excuse autocorrects!

My kids actually fight over who gets to sit in the TF. They love it, too. This "my hips hurt" thing has caught me off guard. I hope a foot rest fixes it!
