Hello,

We are grandparents of an 11 month old and are in need of car seat for the occasional short trip to the post office, etc.
We bought a Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 but we find trying to adjust the tilt when it is installed rear facing is too hard on our hands. We need to be able to easily tilt and untilt the seat so when the baby is not sitting in it a passenger is able to sit in the front seat.

I can't recall about the ease of the mechanism, but for convertible seats, the Graco Recline 'n Ride is one of the only models that can have the recline adjusted while it is installed. Most other models usually require re-installation if you need to adjust the recline.

Also keep in mind that a typical 11-month old can be more upright when allowed by the instructions. Some seats may allow you to have it quite upright to start. The Britax Boulevard/Marathon ClickTight and Chicco NextFit come to mind as allowing reasonably upright installations and also generally easier to use and adjust than average.

Obviously be sure to buy from a store that allows free returns like Target. Amazon and Walmart do also, but make sure it's sold and shipped by Amazon/Walmart and not a third party seller.
