Copyright issues?

On another forum I'm on, they are going on a big push to delete all copyright infringement for many many years -- especially celebrity photos. She can't say anything but from the gist of what has been said there's a lawyer and potential $$ loss behind this.

Should CSO be looking at cleansing the same?

Should CSO be looking at cleansing the same?

We do appreciate it when members use the Report Post feature if they notice copyrighted content. This allows us to remove such content quickly before any issue arises, as we have tried to do over the years. It is possible that protected content remains so if anyone notices any, please do report it. We do have a standard DCMA takedown procedure in our Terms Of Service as well.

I don't often see anything here that isn't fair use.

Companies will try to sue even when they KNOW something is fair use. Which is BS, but there you go...

Reminds me of a certain local newspaper who hired a certain idiot IP attorney who went around suing every online entity who even remotely properly quoted said newspaper a few years ago. Idiot attorney now can't find a job in town because he burned so many bridges and ruined so many lives. Karma's a *****.
