car seat/ side curtain airbag safety?

We finally got a newer car (2011 Honda Accord-- LOVE it!!), and I'm wondering if there's any safety issue about having a car seat or booster seat installed right next to the doors, with the side curtain airbags. My guess is that it's fine, but just wanted to make sure!

I'm not aware of any vehicles or seats that prohibit it, but you should check both vehicle and restraint manuals to be sure.

The curtain airbags expand sideways along the doors and don't force themselves into the sitting space like front airbags. So as long as it doesn't prohibit in your manual, its fine.
