Car seat in a handicapped accessible van

Hello there,

New to the forums & appreciate any help in advance!

My parents have a handicapped accessible van for my brother. He sits in the front passenger seat and the van has a side entrance ramp which means the middle row of seats is removed.
My almost-two-year-old spends one day a week with these grandparents and I need to know if a car seat can be safely used in the back row of seats with the middle seats removed. She is still rear-facing and will be for some time. I believe the back row of seats is equipped with LATCH.

I would also love ideas on easy to tighten convertible car seats for grandparents.

The back row is safe to install car seats. My SIL had a conversion van when her son was in a wheelchair and the other 3 kids sat across the back row. You'll install the same way as you would in any other vehicle. Just follow the manufacturers instructions. Which van do they have?

Looks like you already have a good answer, but I'll just concur. I've installed other seats in the back row of a van with a lift. Welcome to the forums!

You can also install a RF seat for your child using the seatbelt if LATCH isn't available after all, (or isn't available in the seating position where you want to place her carseat.)
