Can i use old graco buckles on my new graco seat?

They are from my older boys' seats, which they have been using as a booster. My youngest has a new nautilus, and I loathe the buckle. Figured since I had a couple good buckles I'd see if I can exchange the buckles.

I would call graco. Even if they say no, it's another report to them that they need better buckles.

Yes, good idea. I'll mark that down. It was a pita to get them on, but I'm happy to have it done! I wasn't having trouble with my new one sticking like some have, but I had to replace that seat due to an accident, so just got another new one that I put the old style buckle on. (The old style buckles were not involved in the accident). Thanks, all!

Why dont you make the new nauti a booster, and use the old nauti for your youngest if Graco says no.

This. Just switch the covers so it looks like the new one. You'll only get to use the harness for the same amount of time as the seat in harness mode. Keep it simple. Reduces room for error.

I probably would use it without thinking about it but I bought two Nautis at the same time and got one with and old buckle and one with the new, grr! I think they are two months apart in DOM and both of them were part of the recert to use for 10yrs as harness or booster. In fact mine are both boosters now and wouldn't have even thought to check if this thread didn't pop up. Just my two cents...

I'm not using them. Just the buckles, which weren't on the seats.

It's kind of a crazy story, but I have 3 kids- 7 yr old twins and a 4 yr old. The twins had been using their nautilus in booster mode, the 4 yo had just (like 2 weeks prior) gotten a nautilus. We were in an accident, so have replaced all the seats. The boosters have been a pita to replace! None are fitting as well as the nautilus. But I'd taken the buckles off the twins' nautilus bc I was going to put them on the 4 yo's nautilus, but wanted to wait till it was warmer and just clean all the seats and van at the same time. In the meantime, we were rear ended. So the old buckles never made it into the 4 yo's nautilus. Until we got him a second new one (the one he's in now). Complicated enough? now onto dealing with insurance!
