Question Britax Blvd - head restraint broken

New member
Hi, we have a Britax Boulevard 70 CS. When removing the cover to wash, I discovered one head restraint "wings" is broken- it was only being held in place by the cover. Questions:
- Is the seat still safe to use in this condition? (just reassemble and move on?)
- It is out of Britax warranty- is it something they would replace?
- Or should I just dispose of it and buy another?
- If disposing, where can it be recycled? (Phoenix area)

Many thanks!

I will let someone chime in on weather it can be used but I know that Britax has great customer service and I am sure that if you call them in the morning they will replace it for you. I know someone else had the same problem and they replaced the seat I am not sure if she used it before getting the replacement though

You can tape it back together in the meantime. They'll send you a new wing, though whether it's free or not I don't know.

This is actually very common, Britax will send you new foam for free and they usually tell people just to duct tape it back together until the new foam arrives.

Just wanted to second what others have said. They will tell you to duct tape it and (usually) send you a free replacement. If not free, you can purchase one inexpensively.

I broke ours the first time I removed our cover to wash it and Britax would not replace for free but did make purchasing one very easy. I believe the total with shipping was around $18, so not a budget breaker, but annoying nonetheless :)
