Booster without seat headrest

Hello All!

I am looking to purchase a passenger van. A link to the van pic is below.

The van has bench style seats. The bench style seats DONOT have individual headrests.

A few of my kids are in booster seats with integrated head rest that are attached to the booster seat.

My question to you guys is...Does the bench seat ALSO need to have a headrest? Is it necessary to have a headrest for the booster seat AND a second headrest that is part of the bench seat?

I heard that in case of an accident the headrest that comes with the booster is not enough and we need a second headrest behind it, which is ideally the headrest of the seat.

Is it okay to put a child in a booster which has its own headrest and then put that booster in a seat which does NOT have a headrest?

Thank you for your replies!

The answer is, it depends on the booster. What brands do you have?

Also at some point they outgrow high backed boosters and then you have a problem.

We did have a member who chose to retrofit such a van, and have a thread on that.
