Booster with locked seat belt...

Now I remember reading that previously. it's interesting.

Just to throw a monkey wrench in the gears, the Harmony recommends locking the belt.

They recommend it to prevent strangulation hazards of children playing with the belt, and don't require it, though.

A child in a booster really should be able to not play with the belt, or not be in a booster.

There was further discussion and submarining could be an issue even in a booster... I was uncomfortable enough after the discussion to stop doing it altogether for me and my kids.

Despite the fact that Emma and I both have SPD and are often more comfortable with it locked.

Ok, if he's in the parkway in grandma's car it's probably ok since it has the clip to prevent submarining. But I should try to wean him off of it otherwise?

I'd try to wean him off of it. Sell it as the whole.. you needed it when you were ___ but you are more mature and a big boy now, so you don't.
