Booster making belt fit worse??

This is what I have now. My 8.5 year who has sprouted this year, got into car and the Literider made the belt shift off his shoulder. When I took him out, the shoulder belt laid in the correct place and the lap belt was across hips. I'm not comfortable with him not being in a booster but im wondering if there may be a better option. He really doesn't need the height if the literider. Any better lower profile options?

You could try the Topside, but I think the Literider & the Topside are the same size. However the Topside might be a little bit smaller.

The Topside is shallower and it routes the shoulder belt over the armrest instead of under. This will put him lower in the seat and it won't pull the shoulder belt down so much. They may be similar in size but they position the seat belt very differently.

Thanks! I haven't had a chance to really look at or play with the Topside yet, so I am not all that familiar with it. I just noticed it the other day. :)

Thanks. That sounds much better. Yes I've tried different positions but the only one that works with Literider is really the one I need for ds2. We drive around a lot and I need him right behind me.

I'm off to look for a top sider.

here's the difference the top side makes for my daughter instead of the literider (and it improved things even more vs. other boosters) in dh's car.

If I want her to use the third row in my van, I'm probably going to end up having to get another one because of that long torso and her narrow shoulders.

her in the literider (if she so much as took a deep breath, the belt would go off the shoulder)

her in the top side (belt fit was better when she wasn't leaning into the belt annoyed with the mother taking a picture)

Thanks. I'm going to go see if I can find one. For now like or not he'll be in the GN in hbb for now. He just makes it.

Hmm. I wonder if I used the GN lbb with a guide.. Think that would help??? I forgot I had one here that I took apart..

Yeah, No go. I had to put the FR85 in the back row. Which is a complete pain.. But that is where it will have to be for now. I still want a different lbb than the literider as DS1 says it bothers his legs.. I am thinking AMP lbb??

But there is no safe position for him in lbb except outboard driver side middle bench. And that is it. craptastic..
