Best convertible seat for a Truck

New member
I have a 2002 Ford 1-50. My son just shot up in height and is now 39 inches. We want to keep him rear facing as long as we can. Currently we have an Evenflo Sonus convertible seat but his head is now nearly to the edge of the seat back. I'm between a Graco Extend to Fit and a Graco slim fit 3 in one but I want to make sure that either can be secured via seat belt (no latch system) and that they'll actually fit my truck.

Both can be installed with seatbelt. The Extend2Fit can be a bit more compact front to back but either will probably fit if a Sonus does. Be aware that if you get the Extend2Fit, if you choose to forward face before he is 40 lbs you will probably run into an incompatibility (not an issue once 40 lbs as the required recline changes.)
