Hi, I’ve checked previous threads but they’re a couple years old and I’m sure there’s new seats now, I have a 2016 MINI cooper S 4 door. I currently have a maxi cosí mico 30 max car seat. My child is 9 months, he weighs 14lbs and is about 25 in tall. Any suggestions? TIA!

Do you have a budget? Are there generally people in both front seats? How tall are they?

Some commonly recommended seats for these situations are the Britax convertibles and many Graco convertibles on the Extend2Fit platform. See this article for more info: https://carseatblog.com/22818/the-u...ertible-space-comparison-review-size-matters/

Each seat has its positives and negatives, so consider how your child is expected to grow and how long you want to rear-face. Let us know if you have any questions about particular seats, or refer to CarSeatBlog's reviews!

No budget, since it’s harder for the smaller vehicles. As far as people, no it would just be me (driver) and baby. Thank you so much!

No front passenger makes things much easier! You can have the front passenger seat as upright and as far forward as possible while still in a locked position, which will give you much more space front to back! You may also want to consider that some seats are on high bases, which could cause issues with height, especially if you plan to use the same seat forward-facing in the future.
