Anyone else have troubles with the Turbobooster?

The headrest on my high back TB won't stay up. I can push on the top and it clicks down. THey replaced the head part and again I had problems. They replaced the back and the head and still I had problems. I've given up and I'm getting a Recaro Vivo. I reported the problem to NHTSA. Has anyone else had this problem????

I put my daughter in one at Wal-Mart today to try it out and it fell back. She thought it was a recliner. I thought it was maybe because it wasn't out together properly. Other than that I have no experience with them.

That is exactly how the booster is supposed to be. That is probably the case with any booster that converts to a backless. (I've only had experience with the turbos and fp boosters.) When you sit the booster in a vehicle, it rests against the back of the seat.

I haven't had a problem with the headrests falling down, though. I've heard of the Parkways having that problem.

yeah, the back falling back is not an issue... that will happen because of how it converts to backless.

the problem for the OP, I would consider a big big flaw. I'd get the new booster, but keep on Graco about this.

WHat should I keep on Graco about? They told me they'd send me a shipping label to return it to them, and then give me my money back (but they didn't ask for a receipt or how much I paid?).

I did report it on NHTSA's site, and did a search. No one else has reported the same problem.

However, 3 people have reported the Fronteir problem...how many does it take?

The mom has the same booster I do. I bought them together, they're identical. We haven't had the problem with hers yet, just mine. It's the fact that it happens even after they replaced the back that confuses me

Its probably just a defective booster. :shrug-shoulders:

I have three and don't have issues with any of them. Send it back to Graco, so they can take a look.

I agree, I'd either have them replace the entire seat or refund your $$. Sounds like it's a fluke but definitely one they should look at.

It's a fairly uncommon but not unheard of problem through the years. Don't let them tell you it's unheard of, escalate support requests if needed, and report to NHTSA.
